Where to enter a Binance referral code when you sign up in the app
Short answer
In the Binance app, the referral code step isn't on the first screen. It comes once you see that your account has been created, right before the identity check. If you came from a referral link, the code is already filled in and marked [Linked]. If not, type in FAIRR.
- Enter referral code FAIRR and you get 20% of your trading fees back on every trade.
- Once a code is linked, it can't be changed. Check it before you tap [Next].
Signing up in the app
- Open the Binance app, tap [Sign up], then tap [Create a Binance Account].
- Choose how to sign up: email, phone, Apple, Google or Telegram.
- If you chose email or phone, enter it, type in the 6-digit code you’re sent, then set a password.
- Once you see that your account has been created, the next step is the referral code.
- Check the code, then tap [Next] to go on to the identity check.
Filling in the referral code
- You came from a referral link: the code is already filled in, with a green check and [Linked].
- It’s empty: type in FAIRR. If the app says the code is invalid, you can change it.
- Linked codes can’t be changed: take one more look before you tap [Next].

FAQ
I don't see anywhere to enter a referral code. Where is it?
It isn't on the first screen. Enter your email or phone number and the code you're sent, then set a password. The referral code step comes up once your account has been created, before the identity check.
I opened a referral link, but the code box is empty. What now?
Type FAIRR in at the referral code step, then tap [Next].
I forgot to enter the code. Can I add it now?
Yes, within 30 days of signing up, as long as you haven't deposited or traded yet. Don't close your account and sign up again, or open a second account, to get a code. That breaks the exchange's rules and can get you banned.
