Where to enter a referral code when you sign up in the OKX app
Short answer
In the OKX app, tap [Sign up], choose your [Country/region] and tap [Create account]. The [Referral code (optional)] field is on the same screen as [Email]: enter FAIRR there, then tap [Sign up]. OKX doesn't let you add or change a code after sign-up.
- The code goes on the same screen as your email. You can leave it blank, but you can't add or change it later.
- Safest order: sign up through the referral link first, then download the app and log in.
- Enter referral code FAIRR to get 20% of your trading fees back.
In the app
- Open the OKX app and tap [Sign up].
- Choose your [Country/region], then tap [Create account].
- Enter your [Email] and type FAIRR into [Referral code (optional)]. Tap [Sign up].
- Follow the prompts to finish, tapping [Next] when asked.
Safest order: sign up through the link, then get the app
- Tap the sign-up button on this page and finish signing up on the page that opens. The code is already filled in.
- Then download the OKX app and log in with that account.
If you download the app first and sign up there, the code may not get linked. If the referral link won’t open, sign up in the app as above and type the code in yourself.

FAQ
I forgot to enter the referral code. Can I add it now?
No. OKX doesn't let you add or change a code after sign-up. Don't close your account and sign up again, or open a second one. You can sign up with the other exchange instead.
Can I sign up without a referral code?
Yes, the field is optional. But you can't add a code later, so if you want the fee rebate, enter it when you sign up.
The code is already filled in. Can I change it?
No. If you open the sign-up page from a referral link, the code is filled in for you and can't be changed. Just go ahead and enter your email.
