FAQ
What does a withdrawal whitelist do?
Your crypto can only go to addresses you've saved in advance. For more, see What is a withdrawal whitelist?.
How many addresses can I add on Binance?
Binance says you can whitelist up to 200 withdrawal addresses. Manage them under Settings, Withdrawal, Address Management.
Do I still need to verify withdrawals with the whitelist on?
OKX says the allowlist and recipient verification are separate settings, so saved recipients aren't automatically exempt from extra checks. On Binance, follow the prompts on the withdrawal page.
What happens if I turn it off?
Binance says you can then withdraw to any address, but if you had the Whitelist Withdrawal Limit on before, withdrawals are paused for a while (24, 48 or 72 hours). OKX says you can then type in addresses you haven't saved.
Someone asked me to add their address to my whitelist. Should I?
No. Anyone who contacts you and asks you to add an address or send crypto is showing a common warning sign.
