FAQ
Why would OKX restrict an account?
OKX lists four reasons: its risk system flagged unusual or suspicious activity; it needs more information from you; a periodic compliance review; or a confirmed violation of its Terms of Service.
Can I still see my assets while restricted?
OKX says you can usually still log in to see your balance and history and submit what's requested. Withdrawals, trading and deposits may be fully or partly unavailable, depending on the case.
What if I don't reply to OKX in time?
OKX says that if you miss the deadline, the restriction may be extended and the account may be suspended.
OKX says it can no longer serve me. What happens to my crypto?
OKX says to withdraw what's left to an external wallet within the deadline in the email (14, 30 or 180 days, depending on the case). If your balance is under 1 USD, it has already been settled. If you miss the deadline, contact support as soon as possible.
Someone says they can unlock my account for a fee. Should I pay?
No. Asking for money up front to unlock an account is a common warning sign. Unlocking and appeals only happen on the exchange's own website or app.
