Binance or OKX deposit not credited? Check confirmations first
Short answer
First check block confirmations: both exchanges credit a deposit once it reaches the required number, and Binance needs at least 2 for BTC. Confirmed and still missing? Check the coin and network are supported, the memo or tag was right, and the amount wasn't below the minimum.

How long should I wait?
Neither exchange gives a fixed time: it's credited once confirmations are enough, and each coin needs a different number. Binance's example is at least 2 confirmations for BTC.
Does an unconfirmed deposit affect anything else?
Binance says an unconfirmed deposit may affect withdrawals and transfers between your Binance wallets; once it's confirmed, they work normally.
What if I forgot the memo?
Binance warns that a missing or wrong memo may cause the funds to be lost. OKX says to contact OKX support if a missing or wrong tag made the deposit fail. Next time, check the address and memo on the deposit page first.
I sent less than the minimum. Can I get it back?
OKX says amounts below the minimum deposit can't be processed, cancelled or refunded. Binance says they won't be credited. Check the minimum on the deposit page before you send.
Someone messaged me offering to recover it for a fee. Should I trust them?
No. Asking you to pay first is a common scam sign; for this, contact official support only inside the exchange's app.
