Short answer
On the login page, enter your account's email or phone number, tap Next, then Forgot password, pass the security checks and set a new password. Both exchanges say withdrawals and C2C selling pause for 24 hours after a reset; Binance also pauses payment services and internal transfers, and OKX also pauses DEX trading.

FAQ
Why can't I withdraw right after a reset?
Binance says it's for security: after a password reset, withdrawals, C2C selling, payment services and internal transfers pause for 24 hours. OKX says a reset triggers a 24-hour limit on withdrawals, C2C selling and DEX trading.
What if I don't get the verification code?
OKX suggests checking your phone signal and whether texts are being blocked. If it says you've tried too often, wait and try again later; if the page is stuck, refresh or try later.
What if none of my verification methods work?
Binance says that if none of your 2FA devices work, follow its guide to resetting 2FA when you can't access your account. OKX has a separate process for verified accounts to move the phone number or email. Check each exchange's page for details.
What are the rules for a new password?
Binance: at least 8 characters, including a number and an uppercase letter. OKX: 8 to 32 characters, with lowercase and uppercase letters, a number and a symbol.
Someone offers to recover my account and asks for my verification code. Should I give it?
No. Reset it yourself on the official website or app's login page, and never give your verification codes to anyone.
