FAQ
What is an anti-phishing code?
It's a code you choose that appears in every real email the exchange sends you. For more, see What is an anti-phishing code?.
What should I use as my code?
Binance suggests something that's hard for others to guess but easy for you to recognize.
Should I change it from time to time?
Binance says that, like a password, it's good practice to update it regularly, and to update it as soon as possible if you think it has leaked. In the app, go to Security, Anti-Phishing Code, Change Anti-Phishing Code, and verify with 2FA or a passkey.
An email has no anti-phishing code. What now?
Binance says a wrong or missing code may mean phishing and should be reported right away. OKX says an email without your anti-phishing code is a fake.
Someone asked me for my anti-phishing code. Should I share it?
No. The code is how you recognize real emails, and anyone who knows it can copy it. Being asked for it is a common warning sign.
